Our focus at McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church:

The task of reaching people for Jesus is so important that God gave us five “Great Commissions” (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:47-49; John 20:21; Acts 1:8)

3. Restore the Hurting (Lk.4:18-19)

4. Recruit the Members (1 Cor.12:12-27)

5. Release the Workers (1 Pet.4:10)

Our mission – Reaching Out in Love to God, to His people, to our world

Why we do what we do – “Because of our reverence for and of God, we will reach out to those who do not yet know Jesus Christ; we will restore those who are hurting; we will recruit people into active fellowship and membership in His church; and we will release people to serve God in those areas where they have been gifted and called.

Nursery

Nursery care is our gift to parents of young children. Our nursery is a warm, safe environment where children from birth to age 2 are cared for. Our facility is equipped with everything from toys and books to diaper supplies and cribs – not to mention quality caregivers who love children. Parents follow a simple sign-in process which includes opportunity for you to share direction regarding your child’s care.

Nursery care is available each Sunday morning during our Worship Service beginning at 10:30 AM. For nursery care during special events/programs, please check the church bulletin, website or contact the church office.

Kidz Konnection

Kidz Konnection is our exciting, alternative to traditional Sunday School! Here, children can worship in a manner that is specifically geared for their level of understanding. It’s kid-friendly and full of fun! Our objective is to teach children that God really wants to be a part of their everyday life. We want to encourage children from our community while teaching them valuable moral and life lessons using the Bible. We provide them with a safe environment and dynamic leaders who really care about them.

Every Sunday morning throughout the school year, the children are dismissed during the Worship Service!

KISS church – Keep It Simple Saints

1. The Simple Church Reaches Up (vs.42, 46-47)

Westminster Catechism – “Man’s chief end is glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.”

Romans 15:6 – “so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

2 Corinthians 5:9 – “So we make it our goal to please [glorify] him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.”

1 Corinthians 10:31 – “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

Colossians 3:17 – “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

We glorify God by living “a life worthy of the calling you have received.” (Eph.4:1)

John 15:8 – “This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”

2. The Simple Church Reaches In (42, 44-46)

We reach in to develop and strengthen disciples…

a. Through Corporate Worship and Teaching Times (1 Corinthians 14:26)

b. Through One-on-One Discipleship (2 Timothy 2:2)

c. Through Small Groups (Acts 5:42)

d. Through Personal Quiet Times (Jude 20)

We also reach in to practice true fellowship. (Romans 15:7)

1 John3:16 – “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.”

3. The Simple Church Reaches Out (v.47)

Acts 1:8 – “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

1 Peter 2:12 – “Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God…”

Mark 10:45 – “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

One of the ways we serve is through use of our spiritual gifts.

English as an additional language

Through the learning of English for beginners, we reach out to new residents in our community and share with them the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ. Beginning mid-September, we will meet every Wednesday night from 7—9 PM in the church. Fellowship, fun, and discovery of other cultures are among some of the exciting things you will find in this class.
